We collect only what we need to run CaloHub and improve your experience:

• Account information — your name or display name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash).
• Profile & goal data — details you choose to provide such as age, height, weight, activity level, and nutrition goals, used to calculate your targets.
• Nutrition & health data — meals, calories, macros, weight entries, streaks, and photos or barcodes you submit for food recognition.
• Social & group data — groups you join, messages and reactions you post, leaderboard standings, and challenge activity.
• Usage & device data — app interactions, approximate region, device type, operating system, and crash diagnostics.

We use your information to:

• Provide core features — logging, goal tracking, insights, and AI coaching.
• Power groups, leaderboards, challenges, and accountability features.
• Personalize recommendations and adapt your goals over time.
• Send service messages and the reminders you have opted into.
• Keep CaloHub secure, prevent abuse, and fix bugs.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your private health data to serve third-party advertising.

CaloHub is social by design. When you join a group, certain activity — such as your display name, streaks, adherence, leaderboard position, and anything you post — becomes visible to other members of that group. You control what is shared through granular visibility settings, and you can leave a group at any time. Sensitive details are never shared without your action.

We share information only in limited circumstances:

• Service providers who process data on our behalf (e.g. cloud hosting, analytics, and food-recognition processing) under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal reasons — to comply with applicable law or a valid legal request, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice to you where required.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, security, or legitimate business purposes.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or update your personal data.
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Delete your account and associated data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent.

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information and to notify you of significant incidents where required.

CaloHub is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may process and store your information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable data-protection laws.

CaloHub provides nutrition guidance for general wellness and is not a medical service or a substitute for professional advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have a medical condition.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
